To R:BASE Community:
It is my great pleasure to announce the Official Release of R:BASE 7.1 for DOS.
R:BASE 7.1 for DOS (Build: 7.003xRT04) includes all the same core engine-level enhancements and fixes as in R:BASE 7.1 for Windows released on 03/16/2004.
Among major enhancements, LAUNCH command is now supported in R:BASE 7.1 for DOS.
A few very old bugs (since the inception of TEMPORARY tables) have been fixed, such as GRANTing access privileges on TEMP VIEWS as well as checking PK/FK integrity references when using ALTER TABLE ADD FOREIGN KEY command.

You all might wonder what happened to version 7.0 for DOS? Well, R:BASE 7.0 for DOS was un-officially released on January 29th, 2004 and has been privately tested since then. Now, with all the enhancements and engine-level fixes in 7.1 for Windows, it is now officially announced as 7.1 for DOS.
While we celebrate the 6th Anniversary of R:BASE Technologies, Inc., stay tuned for more ...
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
