In contrast, I do NOT have the "print directly to the printer" checked, but, again, this is a network printer.
If your printer is locally attached, try this:
1. In Printer Properties, Sharing tab, click the "Share this Printer" button, give it a name.
2. Open a DOS prompt, and do:
NET USE LPT1 \\computername\printername
where "computername" and "printername" match your computer's ID and the share name for the printer you set up. In effect you are sharing the printer with yourself. Now DOS-based programs see it as a networked printer, and it may behave differently for you.
When printing reports from Windows XP from RBDOS, the report prints only after exiting R:BASE.
Any clues?
Sami,
Try the following techniques and see how that works:
01. OUTPUT PRINTER PRINT ReportName WHERE clause ... ORDER BY clause ... NEW OUTPUT SCREEN RETURN
02. Check the Advanced Properties of Printer:
[x] Print directly to the printer
03. During Printer Driver Installation, make sure to allow DOS printing.
Hope that helps!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
