There is not much I can add to David's summary of the Conference excepting that I was impressed with the scope of the creativity of these very bright people that were there.
Actually, "impressed" falls short in describing some of the amazing things demonstrated. David mentions being dazzled by Alexei Nicolini's Terminal Server application on a pocket PC and I was further dazzled by the slick Customer Service app he showed me (we sat next to each other in the back). Alexei said I should have seen the incredible app that the "Whiz Kids" from Detroit (sorry I don't remember their names, maybe David will fill that in) showed him. An application using Flash and RBase, with beautiful graphs, etc created on the fly. I will comment further on the sense of community that was pervasive throughout and that feeling of connection when you finally put a face to a name. I personally commend each and every presenter for their innovative ways of making RBase jump not through hoops, but way out of the Box. I know I saw RBase being used in ways I hadn't considered previously. (and Razaak said if you are putting new tile on your kitchen floor, you better be using RBase, cause he's sure it can do that too. And if it can't right now, just wait 5 minutes while RBTI invents that capability) I encourage everyone that has been holding back on rolling their customers applications forward until after the dust has settled on 7.x Well I don't believe that is going to happen in the foreseeable future. RBase is moving forward at an accelerating pace that is kicking up a veritable "Dust Storm". So, don't get left in the Dust, get up here in the pack and move forward... It's Time.
