To the R:BASE Community - and especially to Steve Sweeney -

Thank you so much for your contributions to the Kevin Aaron Community
Justice Award. The first award was presented on May 22nd to Pui Man Wong, a
graduate student in the Department of City and Regional Planning at
Berkeley, who advocated for under-represented and unequally treated
residents in the Oakland, California Chinatown commumnity this past year.
Contributions like yours will help future students to pursue other
worthwhile community advocacy projects.

Our family is truly appreciative of your unexpected generosity.

I'm looking forward to being back with you all at the conference in October.

With warmest regards,

Sami Aaron

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Charities Benefit from Developers' Conference

2004 6th Annual R:BASE Developers' Conference Charitable Partners

Each year R:BASE developers contribute to a charity through their
activities at the Developers' Conference. Funds are collected through
good-natured "fines" for impolite, nuisance, or distracting behaviors,
such as cell phones ringing, asking previously asked questions, or making
references to politics or sports.

 The Kevin Aaron Memorial Fund
at University of California Berkeley received $320.50, which will be
matched by Conference Master of Ceremonies Steve Sweeney, for a total of
$641.00.
