I could use RCode to do the same or others, or even write my own in VB, but I'm looking to do this all programattically through RBase DOS. Prompt for a file name.. 2. Load the file line by line 3. Change a specific text value to another in all instances 4. write the file back out with another name. You probably guessed that I want to basically automate the rewrite of and APP file. I would like to do this for more than one word if possible.. I know I have at least two items I would like to replace.. that is where it says RUN soandso IN tmdinv03.apx to tmdinv04.apx and where it says CONNECT tmdinv03 to CONNECT tmdinv04.
