It is not my Italian, it is Google's Italian.

I doubt they would change the switches (what is the
Italian for "p", anyway).  In any event, if Adobe is
starting you should either see the output on the
printer or some message from Acrobat.

Try taking the text from your LAUNCH command and
entering it at a command prompt.  Once you have it
working there, you can modify the LAUNCH command to do
what you want.  I don't think LAUNCH gives you an
error if the program cannot be started, but the
command prompt will.
