To R:BASE Community:

When generating R:BASE 7.x reports or invoices as PDF,
HTML, XHTML, XLS, RTF, etc., you may want the ability
to send those outputs via Fax, because the end-user
does not have Internet access or does not know how to
open the attached PDF document. Now you can do both
with (drum roll please) R:Fax.

It is my pleasure to announce R:Fax, a next generation
add-on tool to send your R:BASE 7.x reports and more,
to any Fax Machine using the traditional phone line
connected to your PC.

R:Fax will use the R:BASE 7.x supported PLUGIN command
to manage the entire process, including the file
creation, image format, custom cover page, and other
necessary information to send your report as a fax.

You might ask, "Why do I need R:Fax when I have the
MS Fax printer device comes with my Windows 2000/XP
operating system?"

Well, R:Fax allows you to by-pass that step and run
R:Fax Your Way by managing everything based on your
R:BASE database, including the ability to pass the
following as variable parameters:

. Fax Number
. Fax File and Name (created by R:BASE 7.x)
. Fax Cover File Name (created by R:BASE 7.x)
. Total Pages
. Remote ID
. Resolution
. and much more ...

Also, you'll be able to create a complete activity log
using the programming knowledge of R:BASE. You may want
to save all fax transactions and associated images, etc.,
in your R:BASE database, as well.

Along with R:BASE 7.5, R:Themes http://www.rbase.com/rbg75,
R:Java http://www.r-java.com and more, R:Fax is scheduled
to be unveiled at the Fall 2004 R:BASE Developers'
Conference in October http://www.rbase.com/conference.

Stay tuned for more ...

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
