Using R:BASE 6.5++ Please remind me what is intrinsically different in how a form runs from the Object Manager as compared to running it from the R>prompt. I'm having a problem when running a form from a program or from the R>prompt that goes away when I run it from Object Manager. I'm using "Enter using formname" either way and the field is set up to allow new data to be entered or edited.
Details: I've had a link set up between a weighing scale and R:BASE for about two years now. The cursor is positioned in the correct field of a table and the print key is pressed on the scale when ready. The weight is typed in as if you were entering it by keyboard. I'm currently trying to use the same system to enter a weight into a form, but it only works if I run the form from Object Manager. If I run the form from a program or the R>prompt nothing happens. Could someone give me a clue? Thanks! Cheryl
