Roberto,

I don't think that will cause any problems.
The quote setting is really a user setting and can be changed on the
fly and one user/session setting should have no effect on the others.

I have an R:base database with the setting QUOTES = " (in italy we use this setting instead of ' ).
Now i have to use this database with Oterro, but i have to change the
database setting of QUOTES from " to ' or i get an ODBC error when
trying to access to the database.
Is it possible to have at the same time two different setting for R:base and Oterro,
so i can use the database with R:base and in the same moment i can access the
database through Oterro?

Troy and Roberto,

R:BASE QUOTES settings are among the group of settings
that are stored with the database.

Including QUOTES, the following SETtings are also
database dependent:

. DELIMIT
. LINEEND
. SEMI
. PLUS
. SINGLE
. MANY
. IDQUOTES
. DATE
. TIME
. DATETIME
. NULL

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
