You
did not say what operating system you are trying to do this from. First you need
to share the printer, even if you are not using it on a network. You are
going to create a net use path using the share.
FOR
Win2K machines
open
the command box (Start-Run, Type Cmd <enter>
Type
Net Use LPT1 : \\Computername\sharename
/persistent:yes
It
will say the command completed successfully, then type exit. and it should work
from them using an out lpt1 command
IN
Windows XP the net use command is the same, except leave out the : between LPT1
and the \\
Type Net Use
LPT1 \\Computername\sharename
/persistent:yes
