Michael: The
commands to change properties of objects within a form must be issued after
opening the form on ‘After Start EEP’ or in an EEP within the form if you want
to change the color during form processing. Also, you
may want to post 7.1 questions on the RBG7 list as many people no longer read

must be missing something when trying to use the R:Base 7.1 Property command. I
have a form named "AskQuestion" with a Variable Memo field. The
Variable Memo has been assigned a Componant ID of "CQ" and a white
background. The
documententation seems to say that if I simply include the following commands,
the background should be changed to red. PROPERTY CQ COLOR 'RED' EDIT USING AskQuestion Similar
examples are given in the help files and the pdf documents but it does not work
so I must be missing a simple step someplace. I even tried putting the
PROPERTY command in an entry eep for the form but still no luck. Thanks, Michael
