If you are using R:BASE 6.5++ for Windows (Build: 1.866xRT03) or higher, try the following syntax:
GATEWAY EXPORT DB4 ASLog.DBF SELECT * FROM AsLog
Of course there are coool EXPORT options available in R:BASE 7.1, 7.5 and V-8 "Turbo" for Windows.
