Dennis,

You need to review the codes within the ".PRD"  file(s) you are using.  Be aware that even within HP printer models not all models contain the same built in fonts (names, sizes, italic, bold, etc.).  The other consideration is inkjet vs. lazer jet.
In my experience Brother printers are compatible with HP printers.  I am using HP 4 Plus and Brother HL-5070DN with only the HP Lazer .PRD file for RBase in DOS.

Thanks Bernie,

I have all of my ESC code sequences defined in the body of the report. In some cases the font size changes bigger/smaller while printing each page.

If I understand you correctly, if some junk (control characters) is being printed on the page then they are not being recognized by the printer.

I think I'm going to give this one back to the customer. If the report prints fine on an HP laser or inkjet printer, then either they have to find out why it doesn't work on their HP compatible printer or get an HP.

(I like to think my development time is worth more than a printer.)

Are any of your printer control codes printing out in the
report instead of being executed?  If so it would mean
the emulation is not 100%

Any idea why a report would work fine on an HP ink jet printer but not on a Brother Laser printer (running in HP emulation mode)?

Report is on legal paper in landscape mode using RBDOS
