Q. What is R:Docs 7.5?
A. R:Docs 7.5 is an R:BASE 7.5 application, used as a true
relational database model, to document and help build all
commands related to PROPERTY, GETPROPERTY, CHOOSE, GATEWAY
EXPORT, GATEWAY IMPORT, DIALOG, PAUSE, PRINT, PRNSETUP and
#WHERE clause for R:BASE 7.5 and V-8 Turbo for Windows
users and developers.
Each module includes a Syntax Builder as well as built-in
templates to recycle the parameters and to increase your
productivity.

The first version of R:Docs was released in December 2003.
Q. How is R:Docs 7.5 sold?
A. R:Docs 7.5 is sold as a Single Seat Annual Subscription
License.
A Limited Edition of R:Docs, with only the PROPERTY and
GETPROPERTY Command Syntax Builders, is available online:

Q. Do I need R:BASE 7.5 installed in order to use R:Docs 7.5?
A. No.
R:Docs 7.5 is an independent R:Compiled application.
Everything is included with the installation to run
the R:Docs application.
Q. Will R:Docs 7.5 interfere with my existing installation
of R:BASE 7.5?
A. No.
The entire application and related files are installed
in a separate folder with a shortcut on your desktop
to start the application (RDocs75.exe) accordingly.

Q. I see four database files (RDocs75.RB1 - RDocs75.RB4)
but no startup file, such as RBASE.DAT or RDocs.DAT,
command files or EEPs. How does the program start?
A. R:Docs 7.5 application is an example of a codeless
application where all command files, actions and EEPs
are embedded within the forms and related reports.
Q. Can I access the embedded code within forms, reports
and tables?
A. Yes.
You'll need R:BASE 7.5 for Windows (Full Version) to
CONNect RDocs75 and access the embedded code within
Forms and Reports. There is no password required for
the database or custom forms.
Q. Can I install R:Docs 7.5 on multiple workstations?
A. R:Docs 7.5 is sold as an Annual Subscription for Single
Seat License installations only.
Please contact RBTI's sales team for additional Single
Seat Licenses.
Q. Can I run R:Docs 7.5 on a network so that all my users
can access the application from one place rather than
installing on each workstation?
Yes. This is subject to your license and number of
seats purchased.
In this scenario, move all files from C:\RBTI\RDocs75
folder to fully accessible shared network folder with
full rights. Then, create a desktop shortcut for
RDocs75.exe and make sure to use the same network
folder as "Start in:" folder.

Seat Licenses or Corporate License of R:Docs 7.5.
Q. Can I use any Plugin included with R:Docs 7.5 for my
own application.
No.
Please contact RBTI's sales team for obtaining licensing
to include any custom Plugin in your application(s).
Q. Do Authorized R:BASE Developers get R:Docs 7.5 as part
of their NFR Software Developer Pack, or is it extra?
A. All Authorized R:BASE Developers can download the
latest and greatest R:Docs 7.5, as the annual
subscription is included the R:BASE Developer Program.
