Hi John, Just a progress report on our Version 8 implementation and conversion. We have eight clients (customers) running rbase databases at our facility. Seven of the eight use Tango/Oterro in addition to workstation Rbase use. The remaining Rbase application that doesn't use Oterro was converted and put into production on version 8 (from version 7.1) today.
Two of my departments that use Rbase for lookups, payment posting, reports, emails, etc used the converted database all day today. First, the conversion was completely error and glitch free! Not one call to our IT department for problems associated with V8. In fact, two staff members inquired as to whether we converted their database at all! The only indication of the conversion was that the icon changed from green to brown! To be more specific: Not one line (out of 50,000 lines) of rbase code needed changing. Not one form, label or report. It took about three minutes per workstation to make the change from 7.1 to 8.0. We're pretty euphoric here!
