It has been a while since I have done a lot of heavy R:base
development but I do use it every day in an R:tango environment.
Oterro 3.5, Rbase 7.1 etc
Q. Can I build an automated Autochk app in the R:Tango (always up)
environment. Normally we don't take the database offline the Tango
drivers are connected most of the time.
Q. Can I use Autochk in a MULTI ON state with this setup?. In other
words I want to run an autoChecking app against the database, log the
errors in a table then check the results of the run from a web page
in R:Tango. Dooable?
I know I can write the app, that is not the problem. Do I have to be
checking a database that is in single user mode with no other
sessions open? Q. How do others who run R:tango in production accomplish this?
Q. I can do the checking during the 'off times' when the database is
not used for several hours.
