In both cases, the Rbase app prints the report to a file. The difference is using "net use" and "copy filename.txt to lpt1" vs print /d:\\servername\print_que filename.txt. Both ways send a file to the printer. Which way is "correct"? Any idea why i get an "extra" form feed using the 2nd method?

I look at it this way. The copy software is sending the file thru a
port---- very fast.
With the print, the database is cranking away building the report and
senting it piece by piece thru the network---- all that stop and go.
