To R:BASE Community:
It is my pleasure to announce R:Mail 3.0 (Server Edition).
R:Mail 3.0 for R:BASE is an SMTP email Plugin, specifically for
server computers, that allows R:BASE developers to send custom
email messages, in either plain text or stylish HTML formatting,
directly to one or more SMTP mail servers.
R:Mail 3.0 has an easy to use configuration GUI for setting up
your specific server settings which allows SMTP server
authentication and transaction logging. R:Mail also includes the
option to display the progress of messages being sent. Within your
custom messages, you have the options to include message priority
and return receipt.
R:Mail 3.0 has many new features over previous versions including:
. New command line parameters for dynamic setup/configuration
. No individual user/workstation setup required!
. Ability to choose from more than one SMTP server
. Increased portability by using an encrypted configuration file
(.CFG), rather than the Windows registry
. Enhanced feature to embed images within the message, as compared
to images stored on a server
. Allows you to list different SMTP servers in a specified order
. Supports a debug log for additional error checking
. Includes enhanced email message format recognition, for sending
messages without using all available options
. Increased attachment file size limit (attachment file size limit
is based on the mail server)
. Enhanced log file output to include if any attachments are sent
. Supports international character sets
. An in-depth progress window is available to display the SMTP
session log
R:Mail 3.0 is specifically licensed as a "Single Server Unlimited"
License for Corporate/Enterprise server installations.
