Lin, you and whoever might provide the support, might want to consider remote support.  I use UltraVNC Single Click.  It's similar to PCAnywhere, CloseUp and other remote support programs but the price is better and it works great over broadband.  When you have a question or want your code viewed, you would arrange with and click into the remote supporter (who is located anywhere where's there's internet) and they could see what you are doing in real-time.  You could also be in voice contact via telephone.  There are no travel expenses and you're on line only as needed so it makes efficient use of everybody's time.

Good morning Razzak;

Unfortunately, there is no one listed anywhere near me, although I think
there are people in this area using RBase. I'd love to come for
one-on-one training but again, it becomes a time issue; I just don't
have the 4-5 days that it would require to fly out there, so my only
resource seems to be to find a local Tutor. I keep getting stuck on
little things -- I get great advice from this list but often it doesn't
solve my problem and I think it is because I am struggling with logic.
I've come to the conclusion that I need someone to look at what I am
doing and point out where I am going wrong.

I'm getting pretty desperate. I need this project in a rudimentary
condition so that we can use if for the next few months and my time to
work on it is dwindling rapidly.

I've been struggling along and it really is proving to be problematic.
I can't afford the time to go to the next class in Pennsylvania so, I
have come to the conclusion that I need a Tutor.

Is there anyone in Vancouver, BC, Canada who would be willing to sit
with me for a few hours (maybe a couple of times) to get me on the
right track? (I'm not suggesting that someone do it for free).

Good Sunday morning, Lin!

Take a look at the list of Authorized R:BASE Developers who are well
involved and up-to-date with R:BASE 7.6 and Turbo V-8 for Windows.

http://www.rbase.com/developers/

The majority of them have also taken the Super Advanced Training.

Find the closest one to you and call them directly to seek help.

For upcoming R:BASE Training schedule:

You are also welcome to come here for one-on-one training, if deemed
necessary.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
