----------------------------I decided to try re-installing R:Base anyhow so
that I got the "proper" defaults for Vista but I get an message saying that I
must uninstall R:Base first.
Am I right in thinking that using the Vista uninstall is the right way to do
this?
Can I presume the same activation keys should still be used for the new install?
Am I right in thinking that I need only install the original full installation
and the latest update (RBG76_Update2_01022008) or is there a newer one?
Is the default directory better as C:\RBTI\... or should I put RBTI\... in
Program Files these days?
Thanks in advance for any clarification,
Regards,
Alastair.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Another Vista account oddity
Since changing my Vista accounts I have another oddity which was fine before
but has now appeared to stop working:
A few days ago I set up the layouts for a few of my tables and saved them
then checked them to make sure that they had saved before setting and saving
the rest.
I went back today intending to save the layouts for the views and thought I
had better check the width values for certain columns beforehand.
The saved layouts were not not displayed for any table.
I checked in sys_layouts3 and most tables have 2 or 3 entries but I'm not
able to view the sys_data column to see what might be wrong.
Is there a special way to view this or does anybody know what else (in Vista)
might be wrong?
Alternatively, would I be better just re-installing R:Base? If so, I presume
that I only need do the original full install and the latest update?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Alastair.
