Karen,

Very interesting question. Since an external form definition is contained
in an external .rff file, one would need to be able to unload a regular form
to an .rff file (instead of an .frm and a .lob), and then you could edit it.

Claudine :-)

Subject: [RBASE-L] - A conversion routine?

Someone tell me if such a thing is already available, but I don't think it
is. I have a client thinking of upgrading from 7.5 to 7.6. I would love to
turn their main menu into an external form file. Is there a conversion to
turn a form into an EFF? Would anyone else find it helpful? It wouldn't be
fool proof -- if you have any form variables defined or database objects
located, I assume you would have to add a connect statement to the "on
before start" eep, right? I know it's not too big of a deal to open up 2
windows and cut and paste, but if there's an easier way ....

Karen
