Hi all, I am trying to download an excel spreadsheet into rbase. One of the columns has some sort of formatting, I think they put an apostrophe before a series of numbers so they could have a text field. For example '000121, except the apostrophe is a little triangle in the top left corner of the cell. So I try to download this, and of course, there is a SPACE before the numbers. Tried as csv, no change. Cannot seem to reformat this out. My problem is I'm using this number in a left join, and of course it doesn't work. Tried the SGET command to see if I can fix this in my table, no luck. Always leaves a space. Any suggestions??? I'm getting a headache. Bob C
