I think you have hit upon db4/db3 differences. Check the help files to
determine how to set the correct dbase version for your output.

Hello folks. I have been using dbase files to collect data from other sources
and attach to RBase, and just ran into a strange anomaly.
When exporting a table from one RB7.5 database into a dbase file, then
attempting to attach it to another RB7.5 database I get the following:
-ERROR- Not a supported dbase file type (7073)
I can attach this same dbase file to RB6.1 and RB4.5 with no problem.
Also, dbase files exported from various other sources (including RB4.5,
RB6.1, Quattro, Excel, Access) attach to the RB7.5 database with no
problem.
Does anyone have an idea what's going on here?
thanks,
