Actually, the DOS version has always had this capability. Many times I have accessed databases using the DOS version, so I could just rearrange the columns. I have asked for this functionality before; nice to see it implemented in the Windows version.

I guess I showed Mike how it was done in 1998. I think I owe a donation to Project Bundle Up this fall. Bill On Mon, Apr 28, 2008 at 4:08 PM, A. I got the Primary Key stuck at the bottom of one of the tables and I was trying to move it to the top for sanity sake and I just can't find a way to do it. I try to follow a standard of the primary key at the top, foreign keys at the bottom, and everything else in a somewhat logical fashion. I am a little worried if I am not able to reorganize column names as we add and remove features. Mike, Did you know that you can use the re-order columns option [Move Up/Move Down] in Data Designer to achieve your goal? Here's how: 01. Start R:BASE Turbo V-8 (Build: 8.0.17.30601 or higher) 02. CONNECT dbname 03. DB Explorer|Tables|Highlight the table|Design Table 04. Data Designer|Columns Notice the green [Arrow Up] and [Arrow Down] buttons Highlight the exact column that you wish to move up/down Click on [Arrow Up] or [Arrow Down] button accordingly Notice the new position of selected column 05. Click on [Save] button to save the current structure or [Save and Close] to save the current structure and close the data designer That's all there is to it! Enjoy and have fun exploring the power of R:BASE Turbo V-8. Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
