This is so awesome. Previously I was hiding dbedits with a label on top,
then setting it to invisible when needed to avoid catching a glimpse of the
data.

Thanks RBTI.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Hide on Startup

One of the neat new features that hasn’t been much discussed yet is the Hide
on Startup selection on form objects (context menu).

If you have a form with a lot of objects, many of which need to be hidden at
first, and you a) hate the flicker associated with this, and b) don’t want
to do the heavy lifting to make those objects dynamic, then this feature is
for you.

When you check Hide on Startup, the object will automatically be hidden when
the form loads and you’ll not have the associated flicker. You *must* then
issue a PROPERTY … VISIBLE ‘TRUE’ to see the object, and, if you
subsequently want it hidden again, reverse that. Meanwhile, the form looks
much nicer as it opens.

Thank you, Razzak, for this window-dressing feature. I’m already putting it
to good use.
