Steve, Base the template report on a dummy table. When you copy it to the new report name, you can change the driving table and add your db objects.

Just thinking conceptually, is it possible to define a "VARIABLE" report containing those standard objects, then copy it along with those elements and assigning a driver-table to it during the copy process?
