Steve,

Base the template report on a dummy table. When you copy it to the new
report name, you can change the driving table and add your db objects.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Creating Report "Base Templates"

I seem to recall there having been a discussion in the
(bit-too-distant-i.e.-post-7.x) past about an approach to creating a set
of "base template" report designs for reducing the work required to
recreate standard header objects. I recall this being handled by a set
of macro's way back circa 5x. However, I gotta' believe that, like most
everything else we did "the old way", it can be done better in current
versions of RBase.

Unfortunately, I can't find that thread.

Could anyone point me to it (Date, Subject, Etc.) or re-open the
discussion?

Just thinking conceptually, is it possible to define a "VARIABLE" report
containing those standard objects, then copy it along with those
elements and assigning a driver-table to it during the copy process?

Thanks,
Steve in Memphis
