Just a quick note of thanks to John, and the other fine folks there in R:Land.
Yesterday I had an import go wrong and it brought our company
database over the 2 gig limit. Everything came to a halt, all data
was unaccessible. I panicked then called for support because I was
pretty sure I knew a fix. V8
I was able to purchase V8 and convert the database, then unload
all and reload data... Everything is back to normal. Total downtime
2 hours (including the 45minute download, 10 minute installation.
