After confessing that I've been living in the Stone Age, I have one word for 
you:

WOW!

Not only does this method solve my problem, but it also removes the telltale 
leading zero from single-digit dates.  I am often reluctant to broadcast my 
problems but they are most often met with solutions, thanks to you and others.  
That's what counts!.  I'm having fun!
