Ajay,

In your print statement do you have:

|USE_COMPRESSION ON

and

|COMPRESSION_METHOD MAXCOMPRESS ?

Does your report include images? If so, I believe that:

|IMAGE_FORMAT JPG

. will result in the best size. Also check your value for:

|JPEG_QUALITY

. and

|IMAGE_DPI

. and

|PIXELFORMAT

If your report includes Rich Text, look at:

RICHTEXT_ENCODING_TYPE

All these settings will impact the resulting filesize.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - PDF file size

Hello list

I have several reports that I output to PDF file and have noticed that the
file size of these PDF files for a 3 page report is apx 1 to 1.5 megs in
size. Any idea why they are so large? If I open these files in Adobe and
save them again under a new name the size drops down to only a couple of 100
Kbs.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
