Karen,
See my previous posting on this thread. But here goes:
 Real      434 columns  x 4 =  1736
 Date      62 columns   x 4 =   248
 Integer   2 columns    x 4 =     8

 Text 1   62 columns    x 4 =   248 (text occupy min 4 bytes)
 Text 8  186 columns    x 8 =  1488
 Text 15 1 column = 16 (text occupies even number bytes

                TOTAL ........ 3744  for 746 Columns

Seems within limit of 4092 bytes

Try the following command at the R>;

SELECT (SUM(SYS_LENGTH)) FROM SYS_COLUMNS WHERE SYS_TABLE_ID IN (SELECT
SYS_TABLE_ID FROM SYS_TABLES WHERE SYS_TABLE_NAME='yourtablename')
