Razzak and Buddy, thanks for your emails. Everything looks OK in the ODBC Data Source Administrator dialogs; my RB data source is configured for 7.6 ver. 4 (7.06.04.30630) and I see the RB "Engine" graphic next to it when I'm in Configure. I removed an older RB 7.0 driver.
The two 7.6 DLLs are present in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (file dates 7 and 8 July). But still when I try to connect, I get the "126" error. It almost looks like we're getting to the front door, but no further? There's nothing in the Event Viewer. Environment is WinXP, SP3, on an IBM ThinkPad T42.
