The color names work and Windows does not change them.

Windows Extra Large fonts cause the enhanced tab to grow and cover the buttons.
Maybe a regular Tab would work better?

I have not tested other forms to see which objects gown or not yet.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
Marc

As far as the colors are concerned, always choose colors for your objects
using color names, or custom colors (red, cyan, maroon, etc.) vs using the
'object' type colors (btnface, window, btnhighlight), etc. Those are controlled
by the users Windows settings. Whatever their setting is for buttons is how
your buttons will display. If you specify the exact color you want, the
windows setting shouldn't affect it any.

Also, I'm not sure if you use themes, the windows large font size might be
ignored..you'd have to try.

    Hi Emmitt

This sure makes it hard to developed a vertical app.

What if a user needs Large fonts to see the screen?
Or if a user just loves their color settings in Windows?

So, it is worth my time trying to make a great looking program
on my computer when their Windows settings can make it
    look bad or unusable?

Maybe if we had a setting on all form objects "Ignore Windows"

The more I work with Windows the less I like it....Long Live DOS <go>

    Thanks Marc

      Marc,

I had similar issues when trying to use a Windows font size setting other
than standard. I don’t know if the issue is with Windows or with R:BASE (DUH!
What WAS I thinking???), but I’d recommend you stay with the standard font size
in Windows.

      Hi

I have a form with several buttons across the top of the page

and an enhanced tab control below. Everything works great

then today playing around with Windows settings I changed

to large font size and when you view this form in Design mode

it looks fine but when you do Edit using Form I can't see the

buttons at the top and the form gets wider and I can't see my

      Exit button I made.

Is there a way to stop Windows from messing up the forms?

Also, different color settings in Windows can make some things in

      the forms hard to read.

      Thanks

      Marc
