Patti,
You did a correct way of transferring an object, excepting you weren't aware
of what the "positioning" of the copied object would be after pasting it.
Whatever the "TOP" "LEFT" properties of the copied object were _Relative_ to
its parent, that will be the "TOP" "LEFT" of the object after pasting
_Relative_ to its "Container" (the Scrolling Region). Go ahead and delete any
extra copies of the object using the Object List
(ToolBar>Layout>ToolBars>Object List) to access it. click on the remaining
object that you want to keep and set its "TOP" "LEFT" to something like 5 and 5
and it will show up on the screen after you save your settings. All that
happens is the object is moved from view when you paste it and as a short way
of avoiding this scenario is after freshly pasting an object, press control and
the up arrow and the object will "pop" into view.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Tabbing order in scrolling regions

This is a problem caused by a lazy programmer. I had fields on my form and
thought there may be some way of copying and pasting them into my scrolling
region. I tried it twice with one of the fields, but it didn't seem to work. So
I did it the correct way.

Then after setting it up the whole form, I looked at the tabbing order of my
scrolling region, and that one field was listed 3 times. It is only in my
region once though and no where else on the form. I deleted the field, and the
other two instances are still in the tabbing order.

Next try: I defined an expression for that field, so I could delete it, and
then say yes to the question of deleting any occurances on my form. No luck,
they're still in my tabbing order.

Any ideas of how to fix this, short of starting over?
Thanks,
Patti
