Well, Dennis, I'd have real trouble disagreein' with you about that, with the possible exception of the candidate for whom I voted in our most recent mayoral election.
Of course, he didn't win. Not my fault, as I contemplated tryin' to vote for him more than once ... maybe had I voted, then been run over by a the train or fallen into the sinkhole before the polls closed, I could have doubled my electoral impact, but hindsight is 20/20.
