I don't know what version or R:BASE you are using, but the Running R:BASE Your Way (RRBY) sample applications, which include samples of forms with dbgrids that are sortable, are a good starting point. For printing, you can have a button on your form to print out a simple report based on your table/view data. The sample applications have sample reports that you can customize to your needs.
