I have been out of touch for awhile but am now back to working on an update. I look forward to seeing everyone at the big R:BASE Conference in October. The new setting sounds great! Today I need some insight on converting a column from a NOTE date type because I need more room. Is the VARCHAR type what I need? I have done some testing and find that once converted, you cannot convert back to NOTE from VARCHAR. Is the VARCHAR field going to take up a lot more space? Also, can I do a search on text in the VARCHAR field? Is there a better alternative than VARCHAR? Thanks for words of wisdom. Sharon Lima
