Have a strange situation: Using the Led Text Label control on a form on
one system will read out with a reasonable speed crawl, (the crawl is
being used to provide information to the user). However, on another
system with the same setup the Led Text Label control will only perform
at say half or less the speed.
I did a test using one of the sample applications. Within it I created
a new form. Apply the Led Text Label within the form and put a several
words within the forms caption. Then run this form. Everything works
fine one pc where the crawl is as an expected speed, however, this is
not the case on another pc, the crawl is very slow. In fact this will
lock up the latter pc to the point where I have to kill the program by
using the Windows Task Manager to "End the Process". The pc appears to
be running at less then half the speed that it should be. Whereas the
other pc the speed drain is negligible.
The failing system seems to run everything else fine (from what is
seen). This is a newly restored XP system. Does anyone know just where
to start on this?
Thanks,
Ken
