Hi Bill,
I'm sorry to hear that about your niece. We were out for (only) 11 hours ourselves. Our kids just got their power back yesterday. The office building had no damage but is still in the dark so no business. Adriana didn't have power yet as of yesterday morning. Because we run our own exchange server, employees' email is down. Thank goodness for EarthLink staying up. We were all extremely fortunate that no one had any consequential damage. Cell phone service was sporadic and limited to texting (a wonderful thing!). My land line is still down and predicted to be fixed by October 1st! Being on either the southwest or northwest side of Houston helped I think, we ended up on the "clean" side. We're all very thankful for our good fortune! Claudine P.S.: My son-in-law, Jason a.k.a. Cooper Wade (cooperwade.com) wrote the song "I don't like Ike" and ended up recording it live on Sam Malone's radio show on Tuesday morning (FM 96.5). Now, they're playing it all the time. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bill Downall Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2008 11:00 AM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Claudine's online again! Well, no, she's pretty powerful, but her electricity is still out. Bill
