Jim,

Instead of using aggregate variables, look at the dbcalc objects in 7.x.
Let R:BASE do the work for you.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - 7.6 REPORTS

I am converting my reports over from 6.5++ one at a time and have run into a
problem with the larger reports taking a long time to generate. Since I
used many variables in these reports rather than aggregate functions, would
that be most of the problem? These same reports in 6.5, even the ones with
90 plus variables, only took less than a minute to generate. The one I am
working on now takes upwards to 10 minutes for just a 10 page report. It
does have 90 plus variables. Any suggestions as to what I can do to speed
things up would be appreciated.

Jim
