Yes. But it would require some coding to do it.
Also the consequences could be unanticipated.
Suppose you renumber and you end up changing
the customer number from 101 to 110.

I have a auto number in a column in a table but there are occasions where we 
start to add a row to the table and then we do not add the new row, but the 
auto number has already been sequenced in the table.
 
Is there any way of resetting this.
