Alex -

Go to the properties of the DBEdit and switch to the Effects tab. You'll
see the "Default Value" field there.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Static Field Value on a Form

Hello All,

I have a DBEdit field that that will be exactly the same in every row
throughout a single data entry session. How can I make the value stick?
In old versions (DOS) of R:Base this was a setting you could select when
defining a field on a form. Now it seems that the only way this could be
accomplished would be to create a variable from what is entered in that
field. The field would then default to that variable until the form is
closed. The problem is at the beginning, the variable hasn't been
created, so what happens on the first row?

Is there a better way to accomplish this?
