Razzak, just a little follow-up. First, although I have more to learn, I was truly enthralled over the past few days learning about and using multiple listboxes on a form. I borrowed some ideas/object from RRBYWnn as often as I could and used them on a little Cross Country (XC) project that has buried me for the past 2 weeks. Really cool AND USEFUL stuff, there, and I hope to soon extend my abilities to apply this functionality. Second, as I've mentioned in the past, my volunteer work for the year is almost 100% comprised of serving as parent-coach of middle school XC at my children's school. Although I do love the work that my Co-Coach and I do with the kids, it is almost and additional full-time job from early August through late October. Otherwise, I'd probably be seeing y'all next weekend.
That said, I want to tell you that I'm not just goofin' off while missing a big face-to-face with you and all the RBTI extended-family. In this, my 3rd year as coach, we have grown to 48 kids, from grades 5 through 8. I believe that it is now the largest single sports-program at this fairly small, Catholic school. Beyond the growth and the opportunity to help introduce kids to a healthy lifestyle activity, we are also striving for top-flight success. Yesterday, at our West Tennessee Middle School Cross Country Regional Championship, a large meet hosted by myself and a another volunteer-parent coach here in town. (Believe me, I sympathize all the more now with what it takes to do something like this, or the conference.) Well, when the gun went off and the dust finally settled yesterday afternoon, my boys had finished 4th and my girls had WON, GOING AWAY! Both teams thereby qualified for the State Championship next Saturday, in Knoxville. I believe that they/we will perform well next week and that my girls have a real chance to earn their first-ever state title. Finally, while I will be coaching and cheering for my kids, I will also be missing this RBTI affair more than any other, as it is my gut/hunch/perception that there is about to be another inflection point in the history of RBase and it is surely for the positive. That, I think, is a perfect parallel to what I have been able to contribute to the kids and the XC program at their school. In short, although I will certainly miss seeing everyone and the learning opportunity, I am so proud of these kids and their accomplishments that I felt compelled to offer some background. Y'all have fun and, if we win, I'll certainly let you know. Bill D. will have to explain things I don't know. But that's between Bill D. and myself. In any case, you've got mail .... Have a great day! Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
