I am experiencing a problem with the CHOOSE statement when
used with the Steel Blue theme. In short, if the list is a
combination of values: (LJS(CustName,20)+(LJS(CustPhone,14)))
the CHOOSE window is not wide enough to display all the data.
Is this a known problem or am I missing something?

Steve, et al.
FWIW, the characteristics and presentation of referred CHOOSE
command when used with "Steel Blue" theme has been the same
since the inception and implementation of R:Themes in the
first release of R:BASE 7.5 (December 12, 2004). As this is
not a show stopper and you also have the option of additional
twenty-nine (29) themes to choose from, things like that are
not on the priority list of either Razzak himself nor members
of R:Dream Team.
Remember, there many ways to skin a cat!
Having said that, here are a few suggested alternatives:
01. Pick another theme from the list of 29 additional themes.
There are 30 different supported themes in R:BASE 7.5,
7.6, and Turbo V-8 for Windows. There are more than 110
in R:BASE eXtreme (ver 9.0).
02. For some reason, if you really have to use your favorite
theme, simply create a dynamic TEMPORARY TABLE or VIEW
with formatted data as alias names and then use the same
CHOOSE command with your favorite themes.
03. Use the eloquent method of defining dynamic CHOOSE in
a Variable Form using the Variable Lookup ListBox, or
Variable Lookup ListView with your favorite theme. Now
you have a cool recyclable variable form with all
supported property commands, nice buttons and more ..
(This is my favorite method since you can load a large
dataset without the limitation of CHOOSE buffer size.)
04. Get yourself or your customer(s) a VIP and/or Corporate
Product Support and Maintenance Plan to implement
special requests and more ...
05. Wait until the next major release of R:BASE eXtreme (v9).
The current version of R:BASE 7.6 was released on
October 21, 2006 and four (4) FREE major updates have
been released. Each update include all submitted bug
fixes as well as requested enhancements.
The current version of R:BASE Turbo was released on
November 3, 2006 and eighteen (18) FREE major updates
have been released. Each update include all submitted
bug fixes as well as requested enhancements.
This is an exceptional example of our product support
and our business!
Since the last special update of R:BASE 7.6 & Turbo V-8
(Build: 7.6.4.30919 & Build: 8.0.18.30919), released on

Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
