have you looked at using a ListView for the PRODPART table? I do all sorts of neat stuff using ListViews, it's my favorite 7.6/v8 feature! and if I don't need to edit data directly in the main form and you want to control data displayed or create features that allow your user to create their own filters without knowing a bit of programming, plus allow them to sort the data how they need it; these are great! and if a ListView record requires some updating, or display a very detailed information of record, I add a double click eep to open a edit form to modify or view the data. I also found a form using ListViews instead of slave tables loads faster.
