Set the variable in your code before entering/editing the form or set
it in the "On Before Start" EEP of the form

SET VAR vdatevariable DATE = .#DATE

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Date Selection with Variable/DB Calendars

Hello,

I have noticed that on the Variable Calendar object, the current date
will be selected (red circle) by default. However, this default is
really a "soft" selection - that is to say, a click on that date is
required in order to cause the calendar to create the variable. (the
"hard" selection)

Is there any way to force the "hard" select by default?
