Han, instead of using Gateway, use the LOAD command.  With 900,000 rows, it 
will be much faster than Gateway.  Besides if the table is already defined and 
the CSV file has the corresponding information, ie same columns as the table, 
then it should be a snap.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Importing a CSV file

I'm working with Excel 2007 and saved the .XLSX file as a comma delimited
CSV so I can import it in R:Base 8.

I created a database with a dummy table and selected GATEWAY.  I designated
I wanted a new table, named it, selected the import format, changed the
field1/field2/field3 etc. to the right field names and data types etc.  

Then I clicked on the 'ok' button and nothing happens.  I can keep clicking.
It's a 900,000+ file, but there is no indication that anything is happening.

I missed something obvious, I guess?
