If you have data/variables for those controls then the controls will reflect that information regardless of what the default is set to.

Be aware too that, for example, Yes, No and Null is going to cause you problems because you would have three alternatives for two possibilities.

documentation on using check boxes on forms? (R:Base 7.6EE with the latest

I am having problems working with this control, not the least of which is
that while I set the default state as "Unchecked", whenever I open the form to enter data, the all of the check boxes are checked. I can't use them that
