As I have the 'understanding syntax problem' , could you define the 4
arguments ?
Are you saying that should be a drop down menu that would have 4 property
commands ie 'start stop forward reverse 
Are you saying that the property command I have in the current button should
be 
<<property component_id 'CALL_PROCEDURE Controls.FastForward'  ' '>>

  Only if the control exposed by automation was expecting an argument, which

this instance / example is unlikely as the obvious intent is to fastforward

media.

controls the FastForward speed (not on mine)?

  Just as the example is shown.   The routine that parses the property
command 
is expecting 4 arguments.
