Mike, If I had time to fiddle with this, while I was waiting for RBTI to create an enhancement, I would create "Static Text" control (with the caption set to blanks) of the same dimensions and location as the variable image, Bring to Front, give it a component ID, and then make it invisible through the property TRANSPARENT. The variable label allows drag and drop, so you could use the "on start drag" eep to turn transparent off and show the user that something the size and shape of the image was being dragged, maybe give it a caption like the name of the image -- and then on drag drop, do the appropriate things with the variables and components for the underlying image.
