Whenever I see this error it is because I do not have full control in the security settings under the folders properties tab. Check that and also make sure the user has full control under the sharing tab - permissions if you are using this over the network.

You might want to try to duplicate on another machine and see if it appears there. What type of server Linux, Unix, or Win ?
